I am a Breast Cancer Survivor 9 years young. I asked a lot of questions as to what caused this since I was the first person in my family to have cancer. What I found through research and questioning my doctors and experts was my so called diet and the utensils such as teflon coated pans I was using to cook. I also found that the drug TAMOXIFEN blocks the effects of estrogen. It is commonly used to treat breast cancer. It is also used to decrease the chance of breast cancer coming back in women who have received treatment for the disease. It is great but one very bad side effect was obesity a large amount of weight over seventy five pounds I gained during my time frame on tamoxifen.
